got this my friend who works at AT&T.
if u wanna get a 3G iPhone for 199/299, u need to sign a contract w AT&T first, then u can go to the Apple store to get the iPhone and use it.
if u dont go to the AT&T first, u wont be able to activate ur iphone at the Apple store.
this is wut they know so far, everything else has to wait till 7/11.
how to get a 599 one?...
not sure yet.
